These Are The Things To Be Known About Microblading

Surely microblading is not the eyebrow tattoos of the '90s

When you ask an average woman if she likes to get a tattoo on her face, then she is sure to call you crazy and ask her if she would like to have the perfectly shaped eyebrows, that don’t require any makeup then probably she is sure to ask how.

Here the answer is that it can be done by getting a tattoo on the face, and it is sort of

Here we are talking about microblading that is definitely not the eyebrow tattoos of yesteryear where the people surely shave off their brow hair and tattoo the un-natural looking lines back on. In the last couple of years, the cosmetic technique has become increasingly popular promising bolder brows with natural appearance as a small handheld tool topped off with microneedles depositing pigment under the first layer of the skin via strokes resembling brow hairs.

While it is found that the procedure is all over Instagram as the results can be incredibly flattering, realistic, and downright face-changing. Here’s what you need to know before deciding if you are not sure microblading is the solution to your brow complaints.

It Is Sure That Unlike Traditional Tattoos, Microblading Is Not Permanent

Depending on who you ask, microblading is semi-permanent as it lasts anywhere from six to 36 months as Kler Rosenberg, the head trainer at Microblading Academy USA and also the owner of Brow & Beauty Bar in Boca Raton, Florida, says that post the initial treatment, a touch-up or perfection session is needed within the four to eight weeks as also every six to 12 months.

It Is The Fact That Microblading Is Not For Everyone

Sky Hadley the founder of Blink Beauty Boutique explains that the perfect candidate for microblading comes to be someone wanting to fully reconstruct, define, cover, gaps, or fill-in over plucked brows as also those who just want to add a slight arch are great candidates.

Making you less-than-ideal candidates are certain skin and medical conditions including oily skin, eczema, psoriasis, rosacea, dermatitis, pregnancy, and some autoimmune disorders. Hadley further states that the sensitive skin types bleed easily thereby resulting in poor retention of the pigment and a less than desirable result in microblading.

The Microblading Shouldn't Be Performed By Just Anyone

Here Hadley advises looking for qualified technicians who are certified by either the American Academy of Micropigmentation or the Society of Permanent Cosmetic Professionals as they are required to have years of experience and pass the board-or industry-approved exam in order to obtain their instructor certification.

Now It Is Found That It May Or May Not Hurt

As there are needles involved, many microblading professionals apply a topical anesthetic making their clients more comfortable, and as Rosenberg further explains once the skin is open, then the anesthetic works immediately as you are not feeling any pain. Some clients think the experience is relatively painless even without the use of an anesthetic.

As Stephanie Shore Fisher received her microblading treatment from Nicoleta Palmer, the co-founder of Brow Philosophy in Beverly Hills further states that based on what she heard, she prepared herself for the horrible pain and a really disturbing scraping sound, but it was 100% bearable though somewhat uncomfortable. And of course, she didn’t hear any sound at all.

When The Results Are Instant — And Also A Little Intense

Don’t be alarmed if they look especially bold at first, while any change to the eyebrows is sure to require an adjustment period.

Hadley explains that immediately following the procedure, appearing to be darker and bolder in colour is the tattooed area and is more sharply defined or even has the more filled in appearance and so worry not as it isn’t the final look.

Rosenberg assures they fade in about a week or two.

Finally, Here You're Responsible For Proper Aftercare

During the first few days after the microblading appointment, the practitioner will give you instructions on what to do and not do during the first few days to achieve the best results. Here some are recommending to wash the brows and apply ointment while others tell you to do the exact opposite as the most important thing is to listen to the trusted pro.

Across the board, some wise advice is from Hadley as she says she would recommend no heavy sweating for four days and stay out of direct sunlight.
